In the design of this project the outdoor areas are central to the concept of living, this will enable our residents to enjoy and optimize the lovely climate of the Spanish Costa Blanca coast – considered by the World Health Organization to be one of the healthiest within Europe.
The tranquil inner courtyard garden has Mediterranean plants and trees, with a covered heated swimming pool and a fitness centre, all of which are maintained by the hospital.
At roof level there is a spacious terrace, which can be reached by elevators. This has wonderful views of the surroundings, including direction to the sea to one side and the impressive mountain terrain on the other side.
This terrace will be a pleasant place to spend the daily sunshine especially in the afternoons of the winter months.
Each apartment has it’s own private terrace to sit out on.
To enable us to offer the highest possible level “Quality in Life”, the apartments will provide amongst others :
- Good accessibility with an elevator of 2.1m x 1.4m; spacious well - - - - - - - - - - - -illuminated central corridors of 1.75m wide; and 0.90m wide doors, all - - - - - -without thresholds.
- Special sound insulation (for ca 60 dB) in separation walls between - - - - - - - - apartments and floors (with floating top layer), built-in water reservoirs and --down piping in shafts to minimize noise nuisance – as to European - - - - - - - - - standards
- Temperature control and 24 hours alarm system
- Main entrance intercom viewed with a video-voice system
The 2–3 room -apartments -Type A (approx. 65 m2 to 117 m2 ) have a terrace or a ‘patio’ of about 3 x 3m, which can be used most of the year as an ‘outdoor room’ (or optional with sliding doors and can be to closed off during the winter)
This ‘patio’ is surrounded by full glass sliding doors and provides the apartment with lots of light and air, minimizing any excessive heat from the sun.
Access also from the master bedroom to the patio can be enjoyed. The bathroom is en-suite from the bedroom - the whole apartment has been designed in such a way to accommodate wheelchairs - everything is well accessible (to European guidelines), as is also the integrated kitchen.
At the entrance hall apartments can have a ‘guest’ toilet (as option).
The living room area can be divided into a sit/dining corner, with a further possibility to create a 3rd room of 2,5-3,5m x 2,5m next to the patio, e.g. with a folding door, ideal as hobby-room, office or as temporarily guestroom for a pull out sleeping sofa.
Having visitors for longer periods? At the lower level there are 4 guestrooms, administrated by the hospital.
Furthermore at lowest level there is a clubhouse of about 150m2 with a coffee-corner, for meetings and social activities and a laundry with 3 washing machines and dryers (giving more space in your bathroom or kitchen).
At this level there are storerooms of about 8m2 for your personal belongings.
The 2 room apartments Type B (approx. 60 m2 to 77 m2) have the same design, but slightly smaller and there is no possibility for a third room.
The 1 room apartment Type C (Approx. 41m2) with a terrace, has a sleeping-corner.
The Duplex-penthouses Type D (Approx. 117 m2 to137 m2) have at the 2nd level of the building a studio apartment with a separate entrance with a cupboard/wardrobe, bathroom and small kitchen block / pantry – and a penthouse at the attic – with an internal staircase access (prepared for a chair-elevator).
There is no standard design, only the location of a bathroom is more or less fixed, the remaining can be to purchasers requirements with e.g. the kitchen at the rear and a bedroom at the front or vice versa.
